How to Get to Carnegie Hall

20090607practice

I actually did this about a week ago, and haven’t gotten around to coloring it until today. I’ve been practicing!

I’ve also been doing a lot of doodling, but I’m not inclined to post that. People have been asking me why I stopped posting though, so maybe I should!

The guitar’s “balloons” are cracking me up :D

go go gadget G chord! Are you learning to read music or tabs?

    • Veronica says:

I suppose you could say both. I read music from back when I played violin, but I’m out of practice. And the notes mean something different to my hands and fingers, which is taking some adjusting.

Right now I have about like eight chords memorized, but my fingers are clumsy, so I don’t always hit them even when I know what they are supposed to be.

Is that what you drew there? I don’t know if it is, but now that I really look at it I recognize the positioning, that is the “making sure my guitar is tuned right” chord, it’s pretty much the only one I remember…I think it was, like, the official chord of Ten Years Gone or something…the Chalupa Chord *heh*…

Well you and your man should come over for dinner some time and we could jam .. or i suppose i could go over to you guys, since that would be less equipment moving; though i don’t, unfortunately, read music OR tabs.

    • Veronica says:

I’d totally be down for that- at this point it’d consist largely of me sitting and staring (and picking out a note or managing a chord or two) while the two of you play, but yes!

heh, sorry for the double comment but i don’t see an ‘edit’ option.

I just realized that i have both a bass amp and an electric guitar amp so if you were more inclined to come over here you guys could just bring your instruments.
