“Not a Maverick, but a Sidekick” for the Win
So I’m sitting here watching the Democratic National Convention, and Bob Casey just delivered this great line (and I’m paraphrasing here); John McCain votes with Bush around 90 percent of the time, that’s no Maverick, he’s a Sidekick.
My T Shirt senses started tingling! I leapt to action and made this design with the phrase. I haven’t done any political T Shirts before, but I thought I’d try my hand at it. Besides, it’s such a great line I couldn’t pass up the chance.
I had a thing at one point about exposing my politics, on the grounds that it isn’t really anybody’s business how I vote. And I largely still feel that way. Technically, I’m not a Democrat, I’ve been registered as “Decline to State Party Affiliation” since I was 18, except for one election back in college when I was young and naive and declared myself a Green. Actually I changed back to DtS because we have Open Primaries in California, and I pretty much always vote democrat for primaries.
Anyway, the point is, that I try to stay informed, but I don’t tend to wear my politics on my sleeve, at least not literally. But far be it from me to deny somebody else the opportunity to do so
Serioulsy, though. Vote in November. Whatever your politics are, vote, aiight?
